Salesforce x LinkedIn CRM Sync

Keelyn Hart

If you're looking to tie your LinkedIn activity to Salesforce, you might want to consider using the Salesforce x Sales Nav or Salesforce x Letterdrop CRM sync.

Salesforce x Sales Navigator CRM Sync

The Salesforce x Sales Navigator integration is designed to streamline how you log and access your sales data.

Key Features

  • Automated Logging: Import sales activity — such as InMails, Notes, and Messages — directly to Salesforce with a single click.
  • Stay Updated on Prospects: Automatically track job changes, promotions, and relevant updates for saved Leads.
  • CRM Validation: Qualify inbound leads and validate CRM data.
  • One-Click Access: Link directly from Salesforce records to Sales Navigator profiles or accounts.

While this integration is great for tracking updates on saved prospects on LinkedIn, you can't directly trace these updates or overall LinkedIn activity to revenue. This leaves you in the dark.

Letterdrop x Salesforce CRM Sync: Knowing What Drives Revenue

Letterdrop helps you better understand the impact of your LinkedIn efforts and track touchpoints back to pipeline and revenue.

Use it to:

  • find product-aware warm leads worth reaching out to
  • find ways to multithread into an organization

How Does it Work?

Letterdrop connects you directly to Salesforce and:

  1. Pulls in data on Deals to track revenue attribution of web and LinkedIn lead activity.
  2. Updates and creates Contacts in Salesforce with LinkedIn activity (e.g., likes, comments, shares) from across your team and company page

Letterdrop will create and update Contact and Companies in Salesforce according to the property mapping you do.

It decides whether to create a new Contact or update one using the individual’s LinkedIn URL. If the LinkedIn URL doesn’t exist, it will look up the name and company to decide whether to update or create.

LinkedIn activity is added to the Activity section of each Contact.

How Do I Get Set Up?

Click on Connect and follow the authorization flow. You will need to be a Salesforce Admin.

Once connected, click on Configure next to Salesforce.

You will be able to configure both Opportunities and Contacts.

Under Opportunities, you can:

  • map fields for Closed/Won and Closed/Lost deals
