Automatic Hubspot x LinkedIn CRM Sync
Syncing LinkedIn with HubSpot is a no-brainer if LinkedIn is a cornerstone of your social selling strategy.
Here’s what makes the sync so valuable:
- Improved Targeting: LinkedIn Sales Navigator features like Recommended Leads and Connections help you pinpoint the right prospects and decision-makers directly within HubSpot.
- Streamlined Outreach: Log activities such as InMail communications and icebreakers to keep your team aligned and outreach efficient.
- Complete Context: HubSpot’s CRM cards pull in rich LinkedIn data — job titles, mutual connections, and company details — so every interaction feels personal.
But while HubSpot and LinkedIn play well together, data entry is largely manual, and historical data won't sync retroactively.
Automation in general is extremely limited — for example, InMails sent from HubSpot don't automatically appear in contact timelines, which can lead to inconsistent data.
You need a tool to help you streamline things, which is where Letterdrop comes in.
Why Use Letterdrop for Your LinkedIn CRM Sync?
The Letterdrop x HubSpot sync allows you to:
- Attribute LinkedIn activity to pipeline: Map LinkedIn engagement to Closed/Won deals and see what’s driving revenue.
- Find warm leads faster: Identify prospects already aware of your brand and team.
- Enable multithreading into accounts: Discover other stakeholders engaging with your company on LinkedIn to increase your chances of closing deals.
What Does it Do?
Letterdrop pulls in data on deals to track revenue attribution of both web and LinkedIn lead activity.
It automatically updates and creates contacts in HubSpot according to LinkedIn activity from across your team and company page.
How to Set Up Your HubSpot LinkedIn CRM Sync
Go to Settings → Integrations → HubSpot CRM.
Click on Connect and follow the authorization flow. You will need to be a HubSpot Admin.
Once connected, click on Configure next to HubSpot CRM.
You will be able to configure both Deals and Contacts.
Under Deals, you can:
- set the pipelines to use for revenue attribution
- map fields for Closed/Won and Closed/Lost deals
Under Contacts, you can:
- map LinkedIn activity fields to HubSpot Contact properties
- turn on/off the toggle to push contacts into HubSpot
Letterdrop will create and update Contact and Companies in HubSpot according to the property mapping above.
It decides whether to create a new Contact or update one using the individual’s LinkedIn URL. If the LinkedIn URL doesn’t exist, it will look up the name and company to decide whether to update or create.
LinkedIn activity is added to the Activity section of each Contact.
